experience as a setter for Mt. San Antonio College. Nir
has been coaching high school and club volleyball for the
past 8 years; as a boys varsity head coach, girls varsity
assistant coach and girls jv head coach. His teams have won
league 5 consecutive years, including two undefeated seasons
and reaching the CIF playoffs quarterfinals .
In 2003 Nir was successfully appointed to a highly sought
after position as an assistant coach for the Macabbi USA
Open Women's volleyball team. A team comprised of division
I-III collegiate players competed in Santiago, Chile, representing
the USA in the Pan American Games. After a silver medal
finish, Nir was asked to be the chairman of the Men's and
Women's volleyball teams for the Macabbiah games, held in
Israel in 2005. The passion for the game led Nir to become
certified in numerous programs such as: Impact coaching,
CAP level I, and volleyball conditioning specialist through
the USA volleyball association; as well as Gold Medal Squared
which is organized by past and current USA volleyball
